House. Late C18, bays added early C19. Coursed, squared red sandstone,
stuccoed bay projections; coated stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays with
wing to rear right. Plinth. Central doorway with C20 panelled door and
fanlight with radial glazing bars in open-pedimented, wooden porch flanked by
inserted casements with glazing bars. Outer bays each have semi-circular bay
window projection with large C20 casements to each floor, the upper windows
with sill band which is continuous beneath central Venetian-style window with
brick-arched central light. Cyma-moulded eaves cornice; conical roofs over
the bays. Ashlar gable copings; truncated end stack on left; renewed brick
end stack on right has ashlar band. Important village location facing up
Main Street.
