Large house. Dated 1718 for John and Rebekah Clarke. Coursed, squared, red
sandstone, Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys with cellar and attic, 5-bay double-
depth plan. Plinth, large chamfered quoins. C20 part-glazed door and
overlight in eared architrave with plinth blocks and keystone, cornice.
Flanking bays have 4-pane sashes with projecting sills and architraves with
keystones. 1st-floor band beneath similar windows, the central window with
rusticated apron inscribed '17 Clarke 18 / John Rebekah'and rusticated panel
over. Eaves cornice; hipped roof with 3 gabled dormers, the central dormer
segmentally-headed. Corniced ashlar ridge stacks to each side.
Rear: bonded architraves without keystones. 1st-floor band interrupted by
4-pane sashed stair window with keyed oculus over.
Interior: front door leads to room with 3 corniced ceiling panels now cut
across by hall partition. Staircase with turned balusters and square newels.
