Road bridge. 1761-2. Possibly by John Carr. The mason was John Marsden and
the landscape gardener Richard Woods. For John Spencer Stanhope of Cannon
Hall. Palladian style. Coursed dressed stone with vermiculated dressings.
Single span elliptical-arched bridge with alternately blocked voussoirs and
similarly treated terminal and intermediate piers. Curving splayed ends.
Band at base of balustraded parapet. Ashlar coping.
The bridge cost £286 11s 6d.
