Farmhouse, 2 builds. Early C18 left part; right part rebuilt and
left part raised later in C18. Byre at left, now part of house,
and barn at right mid-late C18.
House and byre coursed herringbone-tooled sandstone, barn roughly-
coursed rubble. Pantiled roofs with stone ridges, copings, kneelers
and stacks. House 2 storeys, 3 wide bays. Modern half-glazed door,
possibly in through-passage position. 3-light windows, some Yorkshire
sashes and some casements, those in left bay under extended keyed
lintels. One modern casement in 1-storey former byre. Barn, 1
storey and loft, has large cart door and pattern of vent slits.
Rear elevation of house shows scattered fenestration and a 1-storey
gabled central wing partly rebuilt out of old material. Barn has
boarded door, pitching door and storage alcove at right. Small
link to byre at right which has filled recessed cart entrance and
one stable door.
Interior: 1-storey back kitchen has original fire-beam and heck,
the latter now with an inserted window. Original chamfered beam
and joists in forehouse, and also in room above. Old rafters and
purlins in byre.
