Farmhouse, and attached stable with loft over. 2nd half C18 for
Charles Turner, probably incorporating C17 work; altered. Coursed
squared herringbone-tooled stone; pantile roofs with stone kneelers,
copings and ridges; stone stacks, one partly rebuilt in brick.
House of 2 storeys, 2:1 bays; 3-bay stable range with loft on left.
House: right bay, set back, has added outshut porch with late-C20
part-glazed door, 2-light side-sliding window to 1st floor, and
inside the porch a small window in the covered up wall of the house.
The two left-hand bays have 2-light, 8-pane side-sliding sash
windows with projecting sills and, on ground floor, lintels with
raised keystones. Eaves band. Gable stacks, that at right end
truncated. Stable range: 3 board doors with stone lintels; small
boarded opening below eaves band. Rear: house: straight joint
between left bay, which has door and window above, and right hand
bays, which have various windows including a 16-pane side-sliding
sash to ground floor right, a stair window, and two 8-pane side-
sliding sashes to first floor; eaves band. Stable: board door to
hatch; loft door over; partially masked by added C19 formerly open-
fronted 2-bay cart-lodge which has corrugated asbestos roof. Left
return (stable): loft door; slit vents.

Built for Charles Turner of Kildale Estate, an agricultural improver.
