House. C16 or early C17. Considerably altered. Reddish-brown hand made brick of
irregular bond. Brick plinth to front wall and string course to 1st floor, not
continuous throughout. c1980 cement tile roof. 2 impressive chimneys of C17 type.
L-shaped. 2 storeys. Street wing 4 bays. Entrance in 2nd bay from left with door of
c1980. Round brick arched opening above door with windows of c1980. Window to right
on 1st floor blocked. Other windows modern. To west end wall an oval window of C17
type to each floor Wing at right angles to street has a heavy chamfered beamed ceiling
and an inglenook beam. The street wing also has heavy chamfered ceiling beams with
tongued stops and stout joists.
