to The Castle Arms
GV II
Small barn. Early C19. Coursed rubble with brick dressings and a pantile
roof. Single storey. To the right the lower stable wing has a wooden stable
door with a timber lintel. To the left a 2 light sliding sash under a concrete
lintel, and brick jambs. Interior has a single pair of crucks, one standing
on a stone, the other buried in the south wall. The crucks have arched braces
connecting them to the purlins. Included for group value only.
