Lodge. Late C18. Ashlar front, with brick returns. Graduated stone slate
roof. 2 storeys, 1 bay. Door to right return. Main front, single storey.
Plinth, full-height central canted bay with tall blocked window openings.
Moulded band, plain frieze, moulded cornice. Roof to canted bay hipped, as
is main roof with central stack. Blocked windows with stone sills and flat
brick arches to returns. Formerly the lodge to Thornton Hall, which is
demolished.
