Entrance gate piers to
17.5.60 Colville Hall
GV II
Two gate piers. Probably early C17. Ashlar sandstone. Square in plan with
ovolo-moulded shell niches set within ogee-moulded flat-headed panels with
sunken spandrels and torus moulding to projecting sills of niches. Bow-shaped
caps, apparently of later date, the piers probably having once formed part of an
archway.
