GV
II

Wall, stables and outbuildings. Early-mid C19. Coursed, squared sandstone,
large in stable, very large in wall. Graduated Welsh slate roofs with stone
copings and kneelers. Tall wall with 4 corniced piers, curves around in quad-
rant then serpentine plan from north corner of house, returns north and then
east to enclose stable yard. In north angle, two 1-storey buildings; the
eastern has 2 small fixed lights with glazing bars and a boarded door; the
northern is of 2 storeys on north side, due to hill slope, and has carriage and
stable doors and, to south, a loft door up 4 steps. Wall ramps down hill to
north then returns to west (partly rebuilt, with square piers) to a pair of
plain piers with pyramidal caps. Main west stable-coach house range of 2
storeys, 7 bays, irregular. Projecting gabled right part has elliptical-arched
tripartite window over modern garage doors; and fish vane. Boarded doors and
small glazing-bar sashes. One-storey similar right section. Cobbled stable
yard. 2 kennels, with run and troughs, at south end. Small privy and midden to
