Cart-shed with pigeoncote over. c1770 for John Messenger. Cobble and
ashlar, stone slate roof. Square plan. 2 storeys, 1 bay. Quoins. Paired
round-arched openings on east side with raised imposts and keystones. South
side: a large Venetian window with glazing bars to first floor, the left
light blocked; architrave with raised keystone and imposts. Pyramidal roof
with shaped kneelers projecting diagonally at the corners. Interior: ground
floor open, first floor has a trap door and the inner walls are brick, lined
with pigeon nesting holes. The pyramidal roof was probably surmounted by a
wooden cupola.
