Low House Farmhouse

II

C18, enlarged and refaced early-mid C19. Old narrow bricks on gable end walls.
Larger local pinkish bricks in front and above, garden wall bond. Pantiled roof,
stone copings and kneelers, brick end and off-centre chimneys.

Originally house and cottage with granary on first floor over cottage. Two storeys,
four bays, the third containing door only, in modern porch. Cross casements in wood
architraves under flat gauged brick arches, stone cills. Part glazed, part louvred
granary openings, 2 on rear elevation. Brick and stone steps to granary door.
Interior shows early C19 staircase with ramped handrail, turning in earlier stairwell.

Small right stable extension, part rebuilt, dutch doors. Similar, unaltered left
extension.
