2/27 The Old Vicarage
GV II
Vicarage, now private house. Mid C19. Split cobbles, ashlar dressings,
Westmorland slate roof. 2 storeys with attic, 3 bays - the 2 end bays
projecting forward slightly as gabled wings. Quoins. Panelled door to left
of centre in Gothic arch with shield above and flanking narrow lights.
Cross windows throughout. Small dormer to centre of roof probably
contemporary. Interior not inspected. The Vicarage is probably
contemporary with the Church of Saint John, 1841 (qv).
