II
Farmhouse. Early C19 with earlier origins; reroofed c1950; some C19
alteration. Red and cream brick in Flemish bond on tooled sandstone plinth;
Roman tile roof with rebuilt brick stacks. Central-stairhall plan, 2 rooms
deep. 2-storey, 3-window front. Panelled door with divided overlight.
12-pane sashes with painted stone sills. Painted wedge lintels to all
openings. End stacks at base of hipped roof. Rear: tripartite sash
staircase window. Interior: 6-panel doors throughout. Ground-floor front
room to right contains a complete Art Nouveau fireplace with tiled surround.
Original firegrates survive to first-floor rooms.
