Public house. Early C19 with late C19 alteration. Squared sandstone with
rendered porch; C20 cast tile roof with slate-roofed porches; rebuilt brick
stacks. 2-storey, 3-window front to right, with lower 2-storey, 2-window
front to left. Higher range has centre 4-panel part-glazed door within
gabled and bargeboarded porch with finial. 3-window canted bay with cornice
to right. Remaining windows are 16-pane sashes with painted flat arches of
tooled voussoirs, keyed to first floor. 3 gabled and bargeboarded dormers
with 4-pane sashes to attic. Lower range has door of 6 panels, 2 glazed,
beneath pent porch, to right. 3-window canted bay to left, and 4-pane
sashes to first floor. Painted stone sills to all windows. Coped gables
and shaped kneelers to both ranges. End and right of centre stacks to
higher range; end left stack to lower range. Included for group value.
