Dutch barn. c1795. For Hackness Hall estate. Finely-tooled sandstone with
slate roof. Rectangular on plan. Single-storey, 3-bay front. Segmental
centre arch, flanked by rounded arches, springing from piers with imposts.
Rear: repeats front. Return fronts: 2 round-arched bays. Hipped roof.
Interior: fine 3-bay king-post roof. This appears to be an unusually early
example of a Dutch barn.
