Lime and coal cells. c.1865. For the North-Eastern Railway Company.
Rock-faced sandstone, part roofed in slate. Five cells behind platform
rear wall, the two lime cells covered by hipped-roofed shed. Cells were
filled from an elevated railway siding over the top of the cells, from
which wagons discharged lime and coal through a bottom hatch. Included
for historic interest.
