House. C17 with earlier origins; raised, extended and altered later.
Coursed, squared chalk, now whitewashed; brick and stone dressings; pantile
roof; stone and rebuilt brick stacks. Originally 2-cell, direct entry plan
with opposed doors; rear service wing added. 2-storey and attic front with
irregular fenestration, irregular quoins. C20 plank door to left in Tudor-
arched doorway with chamfered, quoined jambs. C20 dormer to attic. Stepped
brick eaves course. End stacks, coped gables and shaped kneelers. On left
gable wall is a large, stepped, external stack of stone. Double-chamfered
mullion windows to right gable end, of 4 lights to the ground and first
floors, 2 lights to the attic. At left rear is a blocked fire window beside
a C19 sash window which blocks the original opposed door. The rear
extension has further double-chamfered mullion windows including one mullion
and transom to first floor. Inside: In the room to left is an inglenook
fireplace with bressumer and niches on either side, one originally forming
the blocked fire-window, the other the original opening into a former bread
