of Priory Farmhouse

GV II

Byre, C17/C18, and shed, C18/C19. Timber framed, plastered, byre thatched, shed
roofed with red clay pantiles, some with black glaze. Byre of 3 bays aligned
NW-SE. Shed of 2 bays, linking it to the barn, item 5/73, and enclosing the W
end of the farmyard. One storey. NE elevation, one C19/C20 casement and one
plain boarded door. SE end, one C20 casement and one halved door. Pegged
hardwood frame, primary straight bracing, clasped purlin roofs. The byre
retains a wooden feeding trough along the full length of the SW side, and 2
half-height partitions between stalls of profiled boards. Included for group
value.
