House. C17, altered in C20. Timber framed, plastered, roofed with handmade red
clay tiles. 3 bays facing NE, with stack one bay from left end against rear
wall, forming a lobby-entrance. C20 single-storey extension to rear of middle
bay. One storey with attics. 3 C20 casements on ground floor, 2 more in gabled
dormers, all diamond leaded. C20 door in gabled porch. Jowled posts, straight
braces to tiebeams, straight rising braces at corners inside studs. Chamfered
axial beams (one made from a re-used tiebeam) with plain joists of vertical
section. Large wood-burning hearth facing to right, with some C20 repair. The
C20 rear extension incorporates a re-used C16 beam with folded leaf carving, and
re-used C16 joists with ogee mouldings and foliate stops. RCHM 18.
