GV II
House, probably formerly two. Probably late C17 with early C19 addition and minor
probably late C19 addition. Late C19 alterations. C17 block with uncoursed stone
rubble ground floor, rendered cob above and gable-ended thatched roof with brick end
stack. Rendered early C19 addition (probably over stone rubble) with gable-ended
Welsh-slate roof. Outshut to rear of C17 part with corrugated-iron or corrugated-
asbestos lean-to roof.
Plan and development: C17 block to left has external end stack to left and entrance
off-centre to right (plan probably consists of a larger principal room to the left
and a smaller unheated room to the right). Early C19 range adjoining to the right
(possibly formerly a separate house). Late C19 or early C20 lean-to outshut at the
rear of the C17 block. Three storeys with outshut of one storey and attic, with 2-
storey addition to the right.
Exterior: The C17 block to the left has a nearly symmetrical 2-window front, late C20
two-light plastic windows in old openings, those on the ground floor with stone
cills. C20 rendered half-hipped thatched-roofed porch off-centre to the left between
the ground-floor windows, with a C20 plank door. Early C19 addition to the right
with a symmetrical 3-window front; late C20 plastic windows in old openings (probably
replacing glazing bar sashes).
Interior Not inspected.
