Saltermire Bridge (No 141)

Bridge over Lancaster Canal, opened in 1819. Large punched limestone blocks.
Single semi-elliptical arch with projecting keystone. Solid parapet with
flat-topped coping and string course under. Western ends of parapets
modified to align with adjoining motorway bridge.
