SX 68 NE CHAGFORD

3/63 Gatepiers approximately 40 metres
- south of Outer Down

GV II

Gate piers. Probably 1911. Granite ashlar. The posts are square in section with
chamfered plinth and soffit-chamfered cap. On top is a granite ball on a pedestal.
From the front side granite ashlar rubble quadrant walls with a rustically
castellated top project forward.
