How of houses. Earlier C18 and early C19 refronting of C17 buildings. Nos 8
and 9, now a single property, faced in yellow brick. No. 10 faced in earlier
red brick with chequerwork patterning in vitrified headers. Whole row shares
single steep-pitched clay tile roof, half-hipped to RH end. 2 storeys and
attics. Nos 8 and 9: 2 bays, in symmetrical arrangement. Ground and first
floors each have 2 sashes with glazing bars under gauged brick flat arches.
Attic has 2 box dormers containing casements with glazing bars. Both doorways
have doors of 6 flush panels in simply moulded architraves, surmounted by
moulded cornice hoods on cut brackets. Brick band at first floor level. No.
10: 3 bays. Ground floor has carriage arch to LH with gauged brick
elliptical head and timber gates. Centre has C19 canted bay with glazing
bars. RH bay has sash window with glazing bars under gauged brick flat arch.
First floor has 3 sashes with glazing bars, LH one smaller. These and first
floor windows of nos. 8 and 9 retain moulded flush frames. Doorway between 2
RH bays, similar to nos 8 and 9 except for glazing to top lights of door.
Brick band at first floor level. Brick multiple chimney.
