House. C16, C17 and old. Substantial timber framed structure with red brick
infill, visible to LH side elevation. Later refronting in brick, ground and
first floor refrontings apparently of different date, the upper floor with
slight jetty. Refronting is faced with colourwashed render. Projecting rear
block of less substantial timbering with brick infill, with later C16 brick
addition beyond it. Much of brickwork is mottled with vitrified bricks. Clay
tile roofs. 2-bay front block of 2 storeys and attics, the eaves level raised
at refronting, rear block of 2 storeys. Ground floor has 2 sash windows with
heavy glazing bars and moulded surrounds. First floor has 2 broader sashes,
more widely spaced, with glazing bars and moulded surrounds. Doorway to RH
has 6-fielded-panel door (top pair glazed) in moulded architrave and
surmounted by flat hood on cut brackets. Red brick multiple chimney stack
serving back-to-back hearth. Interior retains C18 panelling to ground floor
room and staircase with paired turned balusters.
