1/127 Orchard Cottage
GV II
Detached cottage. Circa 1700. Rubble stone, thatched roof with
gable end brick stacks. Two-storey, 3-window; casements. Central
ledged door in chamfered stone case up steps, 3-light ovolo-
mullioned casement with hoodmould to either side, cellar window to
right of door. Moulded string course to first floor raised over
door lintel, 3-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement either
side of central 2-light mullioned casement. Attached to right is
early C18 single-storey extension with 2-light mullioned casement
and hipped thatched roof, single chamfered light to right return.
Right return of main build has single light ovolo-moulded casement
to attic. Rear has single-light and 2-light mullioned casements.
Interior not accessible at time of survey (September 1985).
