Farmhouse, now detached house. Late C17, altered C19 and C20.
Dressed limestone, tiled roof, brick stacks. H-plan with rear
former barn range, C17 range gable end to road. C19 west front:
2-storey, 3-window. Door with 6 fielded panels and transom light
with flat wooden hood on brackets, to left is 16-pane sash and 2-
light casement, first floor has two 9-pane sashes and one 2-light
casement. Attached to left is former outhouse with 2-light
casements. To left is C17 range with 2-light recessed chamfered
casement to ground floor of return facing front, gable end has
recessed oval plaster panel to first floor and bull's-eye to attic,
3-step stone mounting block against this wall. Right return is
south front of C17 range; French windows to left, three 2-light
mullioned casements to right, first floor has three 2-light
mullioned casements and recessed oval plaster panel, the right bay
is early C18 addition. Rear has single leaded casement to C17
range, C19 range has 9-pane sashes and C20 casements, single storey
rear wing is former barn, now with patio doors and C20 leaded
casements, half-hipped thatched roof.
interior has chamfered beams, two open fireplaces with chamfered
lintels on stone jambs, C19 range has doors with 6 fielded panels
im moulded architraves, stairs with wreathed handrail. Attached to
south of C17 range is dressed limestone wall with ceramic weathered
coping, about 75 metres long.
