Public house and adjoining house. Dated and inscribed over entrance G & GI 1688
with C19 alterations. Incised stucco and roughcast walls. Graduated greenslate
roof with brick and stone chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 5 bays, with 2-bay former
stable to right and 2-bay house to left, all under common roof. Top-glazed
panelled door in chamfered surround with inscribed lintel under hoodmould. Sash
windows in C19 painted stone surrounds. Former stable has C20 doors and windows
in plain reveals. House to left has plank door and sash windows in painted
stone surrounds.
