House. Circa 1840 with some C20 alterations. Rendered stone rubble, hipped slate
roof with brick stacks to sides.
Double depth plan; central entrance hall with staircase at the back; 2 principal
front rooms and probably smaller service roms to rear. A single storey wing at the
back of the left side was added to provide an unheated service room. The principal
rooms face the garden, the rear of the house faces the road.
2 storeys on plinth and 3 windows, all 16-pane sashes in raised eared architraves,
long and short rusticated quoins. Central glazed door with fanlight enclosed in C20
polygonal conservatory. Deep bracketed eaves. Right side in painted stone rubble,
with 6-pane light at ground floor right and 2-light casement with toplights, similar
casement at first floor to right, both of C19. Left side has single storey addition
with 6-pane light at gable end, for additional service room, unheated; at first floor
to left a 6-pane C20 light. Rear has central round-headed stair light with keystone
and brick arch, Gothic interlaced glazing bars, C20 sash with flat head and keystone.
