Small town house. Probably C18, remodelled circa mid C19. Stucco front, otherwise
rubble. Asbestos slate roof with projecting eaves at the front. Brick chimneys over
the gable ends.
Plan: 2 rooms with cross passage between.
Exterior : 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3 window north road front with central doorway and
door within doorcase with consoles. 4-pane sashes within stucco surrounds with
blocks at meeting rail level and stucco lintels with keyhole-shaped decoration.
Rear
Interior not inspected.
Fronting a shallow depth sunken walk at the front is a granite coped retaining wall
surmounted by circa mid-C19 iron railings with round stanchions with square cushion
bases and hall finials and 2 holed collars to each for holding the round section
rails between.
This house adjoins York House qv., one of the oldest buildings in Marazion.
