Farmhouse. Circa early to mid C17, probably extended in early C19. Stone rubble.
Rag slate roof with gable ends with higher roof over range on left. Stone rubble end
stack on right and rendered brick end stack on left. Stone rubble end stack to
outshot.
Plan: Earlier range probably of 2 room and through passage plan with larger room on
right, heated by end stack and smaller probably unheated room on left. Outshot added
across rear in circa late C18, heated by end stack to rear left. In circa early C19
a 1-room plan range was added on the left hand gable end of the earlier house; this
extension with entrance in rear elevation was heated by an end stack on left with a
stair probably to right, lit by a small stair window on the front elevation.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 1:2 window front with earlier range on right and
higher later range on left. The later range has a 4 pane sash on ground and first
floor and a small 1-light casement probably lighting the stair to right. The earlier
range comprises the entrance to left of centre with 1-light casement to left and a 2-
light granite mullion window to right. First floor with 1 and 2-light casement.
Interior: not accessible.
In remote position on moor with unaltered front and rear elevations.
