20 metres north-west of
Reskadinnick House
GV II
Stable block and estate office, now stores. Probably early C19, altered.
Uncoursed granite rubble with quoins, slate roof. L-plan formed by long
range on north-south axis with office attached at west side of south end.
Two storeys and approx. 5 bays; the centre has a wide full-height
rectangular patch of concrete blocks (suggesting the position of a former
wagon entrance), with a stable door at ground floor and a window above;
next to this on the left is a symmetrical section with a stable door
flanked by windows at ground floor and a window flanked by 2 tiers of
pigeon holes at 1st floor (further left are garage doors and a doorway with
windows above); to the right of the centre are 2 stable doors with
windows above (1st floor windows vertically above stable doors are
probably replacements of former loading doors). The office wing has a
doorway in the angleand a 12-pane sashed window to the left. Hipped roof,
ridge chimney to office.
