West of the main pumping and haulage shaft, the third engine house of the group is that of a 32 inch engine erected in 1876.

Evidence of the original stamps is now largely lost due to alterations made in 1912, when the house was modified to accomodate a 150 HP horizontal gas-oil engine used to drive 20 heads of Californian stamps and power the dressing floors. The existing footings shown in this view are those of the new stamps.

In the foreground are the foundations of three round buddles (used for concentrating the ore), beyond which were the dressing floors.
