Offices, former house. Early C19, 3 storeys timber frame and render and part
rendered brick with gabled, low pitched, slate roof. Front has end pilaster
strips and is of 6 bays of double hung sash windows with moulded surrunds with
single vertical glazing bars on ground and first floors. On the third floor are
4 widely spaced similar sashes. An off-centre Greek Doric plaster doorcase with
flat entablature and fluted columns. Flight of cantilevered stone steps with
handrails. S end has red brick gable stack and there is a large rectangular red
brick stack in rear roof slope. At the rear, a 2 storey half hipped, gambrel
peg tile roofed earlier block. Interior shows fragments of earlier timber
framing and some C19 detail. Large C20 extensions at rear.
