Milestone. Probably circa 1864. Painted dressed granite iionolith. Triangular-
on-plan shaft over a rectangular-on-plan base. 2 rectangular sides of the shaft face the road obliquely and rise from large pyramid stops. Each of these sides has incised lettering and Arabic numerals. Pyramidal head.
Left-hand, inscription: PENZANCE 9, LANDS END 19.
Sight-hand inscription: HELSTON 4, FALMOUTH 16.
Over the right hand side is an Ordnance Survey bench mark.
