GV II*
Church tower ruin. C15 and possibly remodelled circa C17. Slatestone rubble with dressed granite buttresses, strings, copings, jambs, arches, mullions and pinnacles. Roof fallen. Square west tower with granite newel stair within north vest corner. 3 stages with string dividing upper stages and below parapet. Diagonal corner buttresses, finishing at sill level of bell chamber, and corner arrises splayed above impost level. Embattled parapet with crocketted corner pinnacles. North west pinnacle fallen. Original moulded 4-centred moulded vest doorway and C15 3-light Perpendicular window over. Tower arch (east) is of 2 orders. Evidence for nave roof position, over, and small single-light window below string. Upper stage has 3-light window to each side with round-headed lights and hoodmould, all probably circa C17 Perpendicular survival, presumably installed when openings were enlarged or top of tower rebuilt.
Interior not accessible.
An interesting Perpendicular tower surviving as testament to what must have been a good quality church and now still providing a considerable visual contribution to this rural creekside position.
