Finger direction post. Early C20. Cast iron. Tapered shaft with
moulded cap and base. Four direction signs bolted on reading, in sans
serif capitals. (a) MITCHELL 3 BODMIN 19, (b)TRURO 9 REDRUTH 13, (c)
CUBERT 3 HOLYWELL 4½, NEWQUAY 5 3/4, and (d) ST COLUMB 8. Moulded top
with square pyramidal finial. Casting signed on shaft by W. VISICK &
SONS, DEVORAN. The Basset Foundry at Devoran operated from c1900 to c1939.
