Late C16 timer framed building with C18 brick front and C19 additions to the
west. Three-storeys high with parapet; 3 window range. Inserted modern shop
front on the ground floor. Jettied along north wall, over crown passage.
Sash windows, without glazing bars, in exposed boxes, beneath straight gauged
brick heads, with projecting keystones. Stone cornices at eaves and 2nd floor
levels. Roof hipped and gambrelled, peg-tiled, plan of eastern, C16 building
is square. Inside timber cornices of circa 1700, the probable date of the last
re-styling.
