Lobby-entrance house, late C17, extended in C19 and C20. Timber-framed,
plastered, pantiled roof. 4 bays aligned NW-SE, with original double-
hearth chimney stack in chimney-bay, second from NW, forming a lobby-entrance
though original door now blocked. C19 chimney stack at SE end. Extended to
SE by one bay in late C19 or early C20. Rear extension to this bay, 1975.
Extended to NW 1983. 2 storeys. Stop-chamfered beams in bays 1 and 3 from NW,
plain beam in SE bay. Straight tiebeams, unjowled posts. On short post above
NW mantel beam, supporting axial floor beam, inscription 'TW 1744'. This
house has been divided into cottages in the C19, and now re-combined into
one.
