Farmhouse and garden wall to front (south). Circa 1840's. Slatestone rubble walls
with granite lintels on granite corbels and granite sills. Spanish slate roof over
front and rear wing and polygonal scantle slate roof over single storey room to north
east corner. Stone rubble chimneys to gable ends with 1 to east over external stone
stack.
L-shaped plan of 2 rooms to front, rear kitchen wing, stair in angle and polygonal
pantry and entrance vestibule to north east corner of wing.
2 storeys. 2-window south front without doorway. Ground floor openings are wide
with paired 12-pane C19 hornless sashes and 16-pane C19 hornless sashes to first
floor. Projecting stone wallplate under eaves. East entrance front has 12-pane
fixed light to first floor of gable end left. Chimney breast is in 3 stages with
hipped roof over large oven projection. Stone wallplates linked to copings under
verge forming broken pedimented gables. Wing has wide 3-light ovolo-moulded wooden
mullioned window with original 8-pane wooden casements. Similar 2-light half-dormer
window over with dormer gable treated as open pediment. Further similar 2-light
window to right of entrance doorway which has C20 door and sidelights.
Interior is simple and little altered with original stick baluster dog-leg stair.
Large hearth in kitchen.
Garden walling is slatestone with slatestone coping except section with wooden dowel
fencing.
One of 5 houses on the Trelissick Estate with similar features.
