4/47 Pill Quays and boat shed
GV II
Quay and boat shed. Circa 1760 for Daniell of Trelissick. Slatestone rubble. Long
rectangular area with retaining walling to west and above quay against bank. Canted
to north and south towards adjoining slipways. Walling is uncoursed vertically-set
dry stone, slightly battered. Former loading bays are blocked with drystone rubble
laid horizontally. Uncoped.
Boat shed of slatestone rubble has wide doorway to north and south and 2 large
buttresses to west wall.
South slipway has circa early C20 boat launching tracks on steel sleepers.
Walling continues beyond slipways to north and south.
