7/99 Gate piers and gate about 15 metres
north west of Cremyll House
GV II
Gate piers and gate. Circa 1780, with C20 gate copied from original gate. Brick
piers with wrought iron overthrow and wooden gates. 2 square plan piers about 3
metres high with cornice'and shaped top, cannon ball finials. Gates have shaped top
with overall segmental head forming frame. Scrolled wrought iron overthrow with
circle left and right containing wrought iron anchor, central plume of feathers.
This gateway formed the private entrance to Cremyll House from the quay to north.
