Lugger Inn and House Adjoining to Left

A Grade II Listed Building in Polruan, Cornwall

Lugger Inn, Polruan, Cornwall

Uploader's Comments

The Lugger Inn is on the quayside at Polruan, where the ferry comes in from Fowey, across the other side of the deep-water harbour. According to the pub's website, "it first opened as a public house way back in 1794, in a building that at one time housed sail lofts, fish cellars and even served as private housing." This is a typical Cornish former fisherman's property with the net stores and fish cellars on the ground floor and steps leading to living accommodation above.
