Farmhouse. Early C19, with few later alterations. Slatestone rubble, partly slate-
hung, and partly rendered. Slurried slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends;
gable end stacks with brick shafts.
Plan: Central entrance to double depth plan, with principal room to front left and
right, with the room to right through the full depth of the house, kitchen to rear
left; single storey heated integral outshut attached to the right side, and single
storey unheated addition to the left side, probably originally a dairy.
Exterior: 2 storeys, symmetrical 3-window front; upper level slate-hung. Ground and
first floor to left and right a C19 12-pane sash with sidelights, first floor central
C19 12-pane sash. Central gabled porch with half-glazed C20 door. The left side is
rendered, with a single attic light. Single storey addition, with flat roof of C20,
and C20 window to front. The right side has a single attic light. Integral outshut
at the right side with 2-light 3-pane casement to front, door and stack with brick
shaft to the right side. The rear of the outshut has 3-light 3-pane casement with L
hinges. At the rear ground floor left has 12-pane sash with sidelights, first floor
left a C20 window. At first floor to right a 20-pane sash, central rendered C20
porch. The rear of the addition to right has a 2-light 6-pane casement with iron
stanchions, probably a dairy, rebuilt with a flat roof.
Interior: Not inspected, but probably retains original joinery.
