Ha-Ha wall with posts and chains, bollards and piers flanking driveway,
c.1750. Brick with dressed sandstone buttresses, copings, posts, piers and
bollards; wrought iron chains and supports. Ha-Ha retaining wall curved out
to gateway. Chamfered copings support chamfered square posts with moulded
border below saucer-domed caps. Chains suspended from posts and
intermediate scroll-bracketed supports with baluster finials. Short square
piers have projecting, shallow ogee-domed caps. Bollards similar to posts,
set forward of piers. Included for group value.
