Farmhouse, C17, altered; probably largely oak small-framing but wholly
rendered outside and mostly plastered inside; thatched roof covered in
corrugated asbestos. l½ storeys with 3 rooms in main wing; lower wing
projecting forward at left. Replaced 4-panel door; replaced windows
to lower storey at front; small-pane casements to upper storey,
flanked by weatherboarding, and to rear; flush brick chimney on each
gable-end and ridge chimney between central and left room. Long
1-storey slate catslide-roofed brick outshut along back, probably
later C19.
Interior. Chamfered oak beams; altered inglenook with oak bressumer; a
little of the oak small-framing in rear wall is visible; purlins and
V-strut trusses of oak; diagonally-set ridge-pieces; chimney upstairs
incorporates fire-hood of wattle and daub.
