Rosslyn House

Detached house. Early C19. Stucco. Slated pitched roof with
projecting eaves and tall slab end stacks. 3 storeys 3
windows. Entrance in single storey entrance extension on left
hand return; round-arched mid C19 doorway with pilaster-jambs
carrying cornice-head and fanlight; panelled door. Main front
with continuous cast-iron balcony at 1st floor level with C20
verandah below. Rising from 1st floor, 3 shallow
elliptical-arched recesses with casements at 1st floor and
hornless sashes to 2nd. INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORICAL NOTE: Rosslyn House is the only house left from an
early C19 row which stretched to Downshire Hill.
