Formerly stable and hay lofts, now 2 flats and tea room: dated 1817
for Richard Legh and converted 1974. English garden wall bond brown
brick, on sandstone rubble plinth, Kerridge stone-slate, hipped roof
and stone ridge. L-shaped plan which almost closes the courtyard.
North range has central driftway with elliptical headed stone arches
with date and initials on the keystone. Above there are elliptical
pitch holes (now blocked) and lines of diamond pattern ventilation
holes. West end has C20 windows in Georgian style. East range has
tall semi-circular headed recesses with C20 windows and C20 Adam-style
doorcases.
