Stable building. C17 with early C19 additions and alterations.
Timber framed with brick infill and random bond brick with slate roof.
Courtyard front of early C19 date has a central basket-arched double
doorway with ashlar hinge dressings, brick voussoirs and a chamfered
keystone. To the left of this is a lower similar archway, now bricked
up and containing a doorway at right with 6 raised and fielded panels
and a 2-light casement window at left with ashlar sill. To the right
is a stable door with overlight and cambered head and at the extreme
right a single higher window. Rear: at right are 9 x 3 cells of
uneven small framing supported on a deep plinth with a tension brace
at right and 2 passing tension braces to the fourth upright from the
left. To the left of this is a stable doorway with cambered head. To
the far right is an early C19 addition and to the far left an early
C19 addition.
