1/21 Beech Lane Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Mid C17 with C19 additions and alterations. Orange English
garden wall bond brick with ashlar dressings and a slate roof. Two
storeys.
Farmyard front: To the left is an early C17 portion of three bays
which has a projecting plinth with chamfered ashlar top. Quoins to
the corners of the building. To the left of the ground floor is a
three light ashlar surrounded window with chamfered mullions. Similar
window at right (now blocked). To the centre is a larger 3-light
casement window of C19 date. To the first floor are three ashlar
surrounded chamfered windows with 2-light C19 casements imposed and
the mullions removed. To the right is a later C17 or early C18 gabled
wing extended in the C19 and to the left is a single storey wing with
attic of C19 date. The rear has the C19 addition to the later C17 or
early C18 wing at left and a C19 lean-to porch at right of centre. At
far right are a mullioned 3-light window with chamfered ashlar
surround at ground floor level and a 3-light similar window to the
first floor with the mullions removed.
